Emergency contacts
Many people aren’t carrying information that would help if they were involved in an accident.
If you are involved in an accident and are unable to talk, the emergency services will look for the word ICE on your mobile phone and contact that person. ICE stands for ‘In Case of Emergency’
Having an ICE number on your mobile phone means that those helping you will be able to contact your ICE Contact.
ICE contacts display via your lock screen. This means that someone trying to help you can access your ICE number without your touch ID or passcode.
You may want to list more than one emergency contact, such as:
- ICEmum
- ICEdad
- ICEhusband
- ICEwife
- ICEpartner
- ICEson
- ICEdaughter
