Offence details
Six offences relating to conditions at Spice Exchange, 1845-1847 Pershore Road, Birmingham. The standard of cleaning was poor, walls were damaged, freezers lids were damaged and tiles were missing around the bar. Poppadoms were stored uncovered, shellfish tails were loose in the freezer and food, including rice and cooked chicken, was uncovered in the fridges. The Compnay failed to comply with four Hygiene Improvement Notices requiring accurate information to be provided with regards to the 14 prescribed ingredients in the food produced and sold at the premises, a documented food safety management system to be implemented, hot water, soap and suitable hand drying facilities to be provided to the sink/hand wash basin in the bar and food handlers to be provided with adequate training.
