- About the park
-
Stechford Recreation Ground, sometimes known locally as Yardley Fields, is a stretch of open parkland surrounded by hedgerows and trees.
It is a popular greenspace used by people who live in the area for walking the dog, sports, recreational activities and taking a stroll in the fresh air.
Early in 2022, Stechford Recreation Ground was announced as one of 10 parks around the city where Covid-19 memorial gardens would be established. This gives people a focal point to remember loved ones who died during the pandemic. The memorial garden features a central pebble bed as well as colourful flowers, shrubs and trees.
